Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship - Are you a senior that will graduate in 2012? Do you participate in at least one sport? Are you a leader in your school and your community? If so, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. AES Engineer’s Scholarship- This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering coursesto be eligible. To apply, students will submit an essay of no more than 1000 words to scholarships@aesengineers.com. I/M Flash Technologies CTE Scholarship – The purpose of the IM Flash Technologies, LLC, CTE Scholarship Program is to provide access to postsecondary education through scholarship awards to graduating high school college bound students. Recipients of the award are selected based on their school and community involvement, academic performance, and life experience. Strong consideration will be given to students who intend to pursue subjects related to science, technology engineering and, math. (STEM). Eligible student applicants must be graduating high school seniors in the year of their scholarship application and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (where 4.0 is the maximum). Each student applicant must have applied for full time admission to an eligible college or university in the fall of the application year. Proof of enrollment for the academic year is required. UHEAA Regional Financial Aid Night Short Essay Contest – To enter the “Free College Money” short essay contest you must submit an essay (500 words or less) and a completed scholarship application to a UHEAA representative at the UHEAA Regional Financial Aid Night event you choose to attend. See the listings of possible essay topics at http://facebook.com/uheaa in the “scholarship” tab. Fill out an online scholarship application or download a physical copy at http://facebook.com/uheaa in the “scholarships” tab. Students are also able to submit their essay to UHEAA via email or in person within seven calendar days of the Regional Financial Aid Night event they choose to attend. Horatio Alger Scholarship – The Horatio Alger Association’s State Scholarship Program in Utah, provides financial assistance to students in the state of Utah who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education. There are twenty-five $5,000 scholarships awarded annually and funded through the generosity of the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation. Scholarship criteria include graduation in 2012, commitment to pursuing a bachelor’s degree, critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred, or explanation must be provided), involvement in co-curricular and community activities, and minimum GPA of 2.0. Coca-Cola Scholars Program – Coca-Cola Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, capacity to lead, and hours of dedicated community service. Merit is demonstrated through leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve and succeed. National Scholars receive $20,000 each, and Regional Scholars $4,000, over a period of four years. Any College.com Scholarship Drawing – Students register for a scholarship drawing on the anycollege.com website. On this website students can search for colleges based on academic majors, sports, or location. All high school students are eligible to enter. The drawings will be help four times a year worth $2,000. The scholarship drawings will be held on the first business day after the application deadline. There is no fee to sign up for this random scholarship drawing. Students can sign up by going to: www.anycollege.com.
